Healthy Mind Online had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Jasmine Siang for an online webinar on June 17th. In an hour-long interactive session, Dr. Siang talked about effective ways to restore communication and connection, resurrect happiness and romance, and strengthen a marriage. We are presenting 30 minutes of her insights in this video.

All of us would agree that modern marriage is busy, distracted, and overloaded to extremes, with ever-increasing lists of things to do, superficial connections, and interrupted moments. These things tend to distance you from your spouse. In this webinar, Dr. Siang beautifully narrated stories of three different couples and illustrated the issues in modern marriages and what can be done to handle those issues.

She offered a few thumb-rule tests to help couples check their marriages. In today’s busy times, when couples may not even realise that their marriages are breaking, these tests could prove to be very useful.

As a simple advice, Dr. Siang suggests that don’t forget to be friends with your spouse – a friend who is there for everything. Don’t take each other for granted.  Be appreciative of the qualities of your spouse.

As usual, Dr. Siang wonderfully enlightened the audience on the concept with a lot of examples and shared some wonderful advice which every married person would value.

In case you missed the webinar, here is the video of the same.
